Contemporary Crochet

One of the more interesting things that I purchased at Savers was an old paperback called Contemporary Crochet, by Susan Morrow and Mark Dittrick.  It promises "a new-fangled approach to an old-fashioned craft," and oh boy does it deliver.  Let me show you some photos I took of two of the more alluring designs:
Oooh, check that sexy pinafore!  Who needs feet when you can have bobbled elephant hips?
And how about some crocheted hotpants with bonus built-in camel toe!  I always wanted some worsted acrylic panties.
Can I just say that I'm so happy that crochet has come so far?  If only everyone realised that hotpants and pinafores are in fact crochet's PAST and not what we're still making...

  1. Dude! I would totally wear those hot pants (around the house, mind you. My ass is too big to sport those in public.)

Glad to see that you have a blog again!
