Sunday Mornings at the Pullen-Tebo Household

Around here, Sundays are lazy.  Meg attends the Church of CBS Sunday morning, where the hymnal is the Sunday Chicago Tribune.  I sleep in, then peruse all my favourite websites while tuning out Meg's garden shows.  I read Post Secret, then head over to read the Newsleader online.  Yeah, yeah, I still read the Staunton paper, at least on Sundays.  I miss my adopted hometown!

Then I usually steal the ads, and Meg reminds me to not throw any out and to give them back to her.  We have been together for over three years, and I have been stealing the ads for just as long.  I know the protocol...but just like my mom can't help but remind me to say thank you, M can't help but remind me to keep the precious ads together.

We don't really eat a big breakfast.  Sometimes I'll go out and get donuts, but generally we eat what's in the house.  The dog lazes with us...he's a lazy beagle.  This morning, I tried to take him out...no dice.  It was still too early, and he preferred to remain on Meg's lap.  I hooked up the leash and everything, but he wasn't leaving that chair.

The cats don't believe in lazy.  Right now Oz is trying to break down the basement door because he wants some pets!  I spent some time down there earlier, and I even opened the outside door so they could have sunlight through the storm door, but apparently that's not been enough for the little brat cat.

Sundays wouldn't be complete without my knitting/crochet group!  I head to the Borders in Wheaton around noon and work on projects until 3 or 4pm.  Right now I'm working on another shawl--my thing this spring/summer is to replace cardigans with shawls.  I've made two shawls so far this year, and blocked one that I made last year so I could wear it.  They look fabulous and I get lots of compliments!  They're much less fussy to crochet, too--no seaming, sewing, gauge swatches, or measurements to worry about!

And that's a Sunday at our house!

  1. What a wonderful Sunday! On the Sundays that I'm home ( I work every other weekend. Such is a life in health care,) I LOVE to watch CBS Sunday morning. It is one of the very few things that will get me up before 10am on a weekend. LOL
